goodbye summer

Dear readers,

Adoption is hard. Parenting is harder. Histories are ugly. Futures are beautifully hopeful. The present in an entirely different adjective. I think the saying is true, that it takes a community to raise a child. It’s true in the sense that without a supportive community, raising our girls would be so much harder than it already is. We are so blessed to have a network of friends, family, and neighbors who are willing to help us out so that we can help our girls.

This month, I started a new full time job. The girls are attending school all day. Zach is coaching tennis and has many church commitments. I jumped back into AFS. We probably all feel a bit over-extended at the moment and the month of September seems to stretch on and on. Yikes! But thank God for the support we have or I honestly don’t know how I would keep my head on straight 😉

And all that was to say, “Goodbye summer, hello school.”

Totally Get It! Psalm 23 is holding me up right now. I’m praying it through in every translation (english only)! Now, I’m wondering how it reads in Spanish. I bet there are some great words! Too much on the to do list…….might need to keep this off.
