It is an altogether wonderful thing to park the car in the garage, climb the stairs, and face two beautiful girls bounding around the corner screaming “Papi, Papi!”
Papi Comes Home From Work: From 2010-02-18 |
I love my job and I enjoy being back at work. But it’s taking a while a to get used to not being around the girls for the better part of the day. I’m incredibly impressed with how Ren’s juggling all the doctor appointments, scheduling, and general daily stuff. I’m very glad she’s staying home the rest of the semester.
We try and spend the 1st 15 minutes touching base. We tell the girls it’s “Mami and Papi” time. We sit on the sofa and do some quick processing, be sure to tell each other that we’re in love (in front of the girls), and generally take a moment to breathe.
Then I get to play with the girls. Today Monica and I practiced writing 9s and 8s. Nines and eights, over and over. The nines were relatively easy. The eights were tricky (I wouldn’t let her make two Os on top of each other). We ended up with a lot of drunken infinity signs. But she got better!
