That means we’re a family! As of about a few minutes ago. Sorany just stopped by to get Zach and have him go with her to meet the lawyer at court and sign the papers. We were expecting the lawyer to visit today and tell us how much longer things would take in court. We were not expecting that today would be Sentencia! We hope to be home next weekend! Hokey Petes as papi always says.

OH MY WORD…that was quick! CONGRATS!!! I am so excited for you. So the next few days will be a whirlwind. Passport and Visa pictures, get birth certificates, get passports, fly to Bogota, visit the embassy doc and pick up visas. All in a matter of days. We were there for 5 weeks, and you may be home in a matter of 2…how awesome! YIPEEEE

Wow! That is wonderful. Congratulations. The process took us 6 weeks. We must be slow.
Precious gifts from God our children are and you are a precious gift to these girls as well. I have loved every second of reading about your new family. Tears of joy flow…and I’ve not even met you, Zach or Renee yet. Maybe we can fix that soon. Bless you both for opening your hearts and lives to such wonderful and special daughters. I think Kelly and Monica and just beautiful and they will be so proud of their VanderVeen name!!

Holy cow! That’s the quickest I have ever heard a family getting through the process. Unbelievable. Immediately make sure you pick up all those little things you want to take back to the US. Your time in Bogota will fly by and all of a sudden you’ll be on a plane home. One of the things we did in Bogota was we had a lady named Myriam Cepeda to hand make a beautiful red velvet dress for our daughter that she wore at Christmas. It was expensive but so worth it, and she can turn it around pretty quickly. Her # in Bogota is 6242176.
